The BarberNation TurboJet User Generated Content Contest is organized by 1-800-BARBER Inc., operating as BarberNation (“BarberNation”). Questions: sales@barbernation.com. By submitting an entry, you agree to these rules and the applicable Instagram terms. This is a content contest ranked using verified engagement, with the tie-breakers below; it is not a random drawing. Void where prohibited.

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and Washington, D.C., who are at least 18 or the age of majority in their state, whichever is older, and have purchased a genuine BarberNation TurboJet. Any model, generation or color qualifies. Verifiable past purchases count; no additional purchase or entry fee is required. Employees and contest administrators of BarberNation, and their immediate families and household members, are ineligible. Entrants must control their submitting Instagram account and meet Instagram’s account requirements.

The first round opens when this page is first published and closes at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the last day of that calendar month. Each subsequent round opens at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time on the 1st and closes at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the last day of the same month. Eastern Time observes daylight saving time as applicable. Instagram timestamps and BarberNation’s documented records govern timing. Each round is separate; entries and engagement do not carry forward.

During the applicable round, publish one new, original public Instagram Reel or video post showing yourself using or unboxing your purchased TurboJet. Invite @barbernation.co as a collaborator before the deadline. Include a clear contest-entry disclosure at the beginning of the caption and within the video; #BarberNationContest is the contest hashtag. Keep the account and post public, the invitation pending or accepted, and comments and engagement information accessible through verification. A standard tag, caption mention, Story, photograph or private message alone is not an entry. If a collaborator feature is unavailable, contact BarberNation before the cutoff; no alternative entry is automatic. One entry per person per round across all accounts; the first eligible entry is used.

The video must be your own authentic footage of real product use or unboxing. It must reflect your honest experience; positive praise is not required. Do not make unsupported product claims, use the product unsafely, impersonate others, include unlawful or harassing content, or infringe anyone’s rights. Obtain permission for recognizable people and for all footage, music, logos and other third-party material as needed. A wholly AI-generated product-use or unboxing video is not eligible. Keep the original file for verification. Editing cannot materially misrepresent the experience.

Eligible entries are ranked by a single combined score: verified genuine likes + eligible unique commenters on the original entry received by the deadline. One genuine like equals one point. One genuine comment from a unique account equals one point; additional comments or replies from that account do not add points. Exclude the entrant’s own comments, BarberNation’s comments, bots, duplicates, spam, deleted interactions and purchased, exchanged or otherwise incentivized engagement. Views, saves, shares and followers do not add points. Counts from separate posts or platforms cannot be combined. BarberNation records the available counts at the cutoff and may review supporting records afterward; later engagement is excluded. Entrants may be asked for unaltered Insights or other evidence. Public totals may differ from the verified score.

Do not buy engagement, use automation or engagement exchanges, offer rewards for interactions, run paid boosts or advertisements for the entry, or submit falsified evidence. Organic sharing is allowed subject to platform rules. BarberNation may exclude invalid interactions, investigate irregularities and disqualify substantiated rule violations, applying these rules consistently. If scores tie, more eligible unique commenters ranks first; if still tied, earlier publication time ranks first. An unresolved tie is judged by originality, followed by clarity of the actual TurboJet demonstration or unboxing. No random tie-breaker is used.

For each round, first place receives $1,000 USD, second place $500 USD and third place $250 USD. Total offered prize value is $1,750 USD per round. One prize per entrant per round. Fewer than three qualifying entries results in only the corresponding places being awarded. BarberNation announces winners on the 1st of the following month through @barbernation.co, subject to verification. Provisional results may be corrected for a documented error or ineligible entry. The next highest eligible entry may replace a disqualified or unclaimed winner.

Potential winners will be contacted through @barbernation.co or sales@barbernation.com and must respond within seven calendar days of first contact. BarberNation may request reasonable proof of age, residence, identity, product purchase, ownership of the entry and valid engagement, plus any legally required tax documentation. Send these privately through the process provided. Payment is arranged by a mutually supported method within 30 days after complete verification. Failure to respond, establish eligibility or provide required information can forfeit the prize. Winners are responsible for applicable taxes. No fee is required to claim a prize; BarberNation never needs your account password or login code.

You retain ownership of your entry. By entering, you grant BarberNation a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license for 12 months after entry to display, reproduce and repost the entry, your Instagram handle and any included likeness on BarberNation’s own website and social accounts for contest administration, winner announcements and organic contest promotion. Credit will be given where practical. Limited cropping, formatting and captioning are permitted if they do not misrepresent your views. Paid advertising and uses outside this permission require a separate agreement. You confirm that you have permission to grant these rights.

BarberNation uses entrant information to administer the contest, verify entries, contact winners and deliver prizes, consistent with its Privacy Policy. Winner announcements may show the entry and Instagram handle; private contact, receipt and tax information will not be published as part of an announcement. Do not post sensitive information publicly. Entering does not itself subscribe you to email or SMS marketing.

BarberNation is not responsible for a participant’s connection failures, inaccessible posts, missed messages or platform outages outside its reasonable control. If fraud, a major technical failure, a legal requirement or a platform-policy issue materially affects a round, BarberNation may take a proportionate corrective action and explain it on this page. Changes must not arbitrarily disadvantage valid entrants or erase earned prize obligations. Future rounds may be paused or discontinued with notice. Existing eligible entries are handled fairly under the rules applicable when entered, to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory legal rights are not waived.

This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram or Meta. To the extent permitted by applicable law, each entrant releases Instagram and Meta from liability arising from participation in this contest. Instagram does not administer entries, verify engagement or distribute prizes. Do not inaccurately tag content or encourage others to do so. These written rules govern over abbreviated promotional material.
